These social media posts confirmed that the season 50 cast would include players from the first season, which aired in 2000, through season 48, which wrapped earlier this month. Survivor 50, which premieres in February 2026 and is hosted byJeff Probst, was announced by CBS earlier this year as a way to celebrate the show's history and put its fans in the spotlight. Over the past few months, fans voted on aspects of the game for season 50, ranging from aesthetic choices like tribe colors and immunity necklace designs, to key aspects of the gameplay — including the final four fire-making challenge, first introduced in season 35, or if there will be hidden immunity idols, a power that has been a staple of the show since season 11 — and more.
